I’m currently into lip tints and peel off lipstick for a long-lasting color and natural pinkish look but I always notice that my lips gets dry easily and cracked lips hurts a lot especially in the morning when I greet everybody a pleasant morning with a huge smile. Another problem I encounter with lip tints is lip stains that is hard to remove. Lip tints are mostly water or gel, this long wearing, smudged proof product can be very drying.
I recently discover a lip exfoliator that is so fun and hassle free to use. Before, I always use a sugar scrub from different brands just to remove lip stains from every time I use lip tints or sometimes, I’ll just brush my lips using my toothbrush to exfoliate dead skin cells which can be very painful if you have open cuts.
It’s a gentle lip exfoliator that uses fruit based natural ingredients to remove dead skin cells smoothens, hydrates and prevent roughness for a daily irritation free.
Papaya extract – papaya is a super healing natural ingredients that contains papaya enzymes, which is a rich source of immune boosting antioxidant. Papaya can gently removes dead skin cells and smoothens roughness.
Peach extract – Has vitamin A, C and E to keep the skin healthy. Peach extract is great for make up removal.
Grapefruit extract – Helps even out the skin’s tone and improve blood circulation

The packaging is so cute! I love the color since it’s very catchy and instagram worthy. To be honest, I was so shock when I received my order because I didn’t expect it to be this small. (My fault for not reading the description before placing an order)
The product is place inside a hard plastic pump bottle with white cap. Product’s label and logo is placed around the bottle. I love that the product comes in a pump bottle because I can use this anywhere easily. The hard plastic pump bottle is packed in a blushed pink colored box. Product description, ingredients and label can be found written in large font around the box.
How to use (How to UN-CRUSTY-FY your lips)
According to Althea’s mermaid, here are the 6 steps on how to UN-CRUSTY-FY your lips
Step 1: Pump enough amount of the product on finger and spread on lips
Step 2: Wait for it to start bubbling and keep the product on your lips for 5 minutes until lips keratin is softened
Step 3: When bubbles reduced, rub smoothly using your fingers
Step 4: Keep rubbing until the bubble dissolves
Step 5: wipe with damp cloth or wet facial wipes
Step 6: Apply lip moisturizer, balm or lip sleeping mask (I prefer lip sleeping mask at night)
Scent and Texture
It has that soft fruity/sweet scent that I don’t mind. The product comes out in a pastel pink creamy paste that is so easy to spread on the lips
Conclusion /Personal Experience:
I really like this product because I can bring this anywhere I go. This product is pocket friendly and effective, what I don’t like about this product is the burning sensation I felt when you leave it for too long (my lips got swollen) don’t be too scared! my lips are fine, and I still use this product and gave it a second chance. It only happened once and I always make sure that the product will only stay long no more than 5 minutes.
This is an exfoliating product that moisturizes your lips in an instant, I never have to worry about lip stain or cracked lips in the morning. Though I still apply lip balm or lip sleeping mask after using this product to retain the softness of my lips. I also notice that my lips are plumper after using this product, making my lips a bit poutier. (yeah! poutier because of an allergic reaction)
I will still buy and use this product again but will use this product in moderation. (I use this product all the time because I’m too lazy to use my sugar scrub at night)
Where to buy?
You can buy this product online at Althea.kr for only P470
So I gave this product a second chance after my first allergic reaction because I thought it was my fault for leaving it on more than 5 minutes, remember the burning sensation I felt before? well, it got worst because the swelling didn’t die down. The first burning sensation happened a day after using the product. At first, I thought it wasn’t that bad and my swollen lips looks ok. Well I was wrong because the second reaction was horrible, my lips got so irritated and I didn’t know I was having an allergic reaction, it happened a week after using the product every night. I just thought that its side effect is to make my lips plumpy. My lips look sun burned and I can’t apply my regular lip balm that I’ve been using for a long time because my lips got so dry after the allergic reaction that I can’t even smile and it hurts a lot when I apply lip gloss, lip tint, lipstick and sugar scented lip balm. I look like I’ve been smoking for 12 years because my lips looks crusty. (Yikes! I don’t even smoke. My lips got darker and its itchy. I can’t even yawn because of dry edges.)
Here are the pictures I’ve taken a while ago :
I was about to apply Lucas pawpaw ointment when I remember that it has papaya extract, the same ingredient on this product that got my lips irritated so instead I used Nivea Med Repair SPF15 and at night I use Burt’s Bee Moisturizing lip balm and Prreti Honey and Berry Lip Sleeping Mask to lessen the dryness and protect my lips from painful cracks when smilling.
I will give this product 1/5 rating because of what happened. I won’t recommend this product if you have a sensitive skin to avoid any allergic reaction.
