Lazy day guide – Skin care

Hi Beauties!

I’ve been doing a lot things lately and rarely find time to spend an hour to cleanse and freshen up before hitting the bed, especially after a long day at work and all you’ve been dreaming since you sat at your work desk is a nice long nap. I’ve been wearing less make up nowadays just to maximize my time before going to work and to prevent me from sleeping with my make up on (LOL). Even though I wanted to do the whole 10 steps of Korean skincare routine every night, life happens and I just have to deal with it and learn to do the best and easiest option. Here are some of my basic tips for my lazy sisters!

Trust me! it will save you a lot time than your typical soap and water routine. I usually stash face wipes and micellar water near my bed to motivate me a little when I’m too lazy to even turn on the faucet and wash my tired eyes. You can buy different kinds of face wipes at any Watson store or you can order online. My favorites are Nivea Gentle cleansing wipes, Purederm Makeup remover cleansing towelettes and Calmia Oatmeal Thearapy Cleansing Tissue.

Micellar water is what I called the miracle water because it can actually save your skin from harsh environment and skin disaster from using tons of products. Its gentle and safe to use so they’re great for people with acne prone skin. You can buy different kinds of Micellar water at any Watson store or you can order online. My favorites are Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, Maybelline Miscellar water 3 in 1 and L’Oreal Paris Miscellar Water (pink)

Cleansing oil is great if you’re wearing a full on glam make up because it can easily break down the excess oil and formula of the make up especially on eyes and lip area. Also, it works well to every skin type. I love using a cleansing oil with Camellia or rose extract to help restore bounce and elasticity and to prevent dryness and skin aging. My favorite is Camellia Deep Cleansing Oil Gel from sasatinnie

Toner is essential part on any skin care routine as a matter of fact, toners not only cleanse our skin but it also add another layer of protection by shrinking our pores and protects our skin from chlorine and minerals from tap water. Toner can also remove excess make up residue and oil on your skin. There are a lot of toners you can buy online that are alcohol free and addresses every skin condition. My current favorite is Rire Pore Tightening Fresh Toner and Etude House Moistful Collagen Facial Toner.

Yup! You read that right! the most common beauty routine is Cleanse – tone – moisturize that is common to most of us, but a lot of people neglect one or two of the three most important step to skin care because it adds another expense and step for them. Using a multitasking product is like hitting two birds with one stone, it can save you a lot of time and money. One good example of a multitasking product is a Micellar water because you can use it as a makeup remover and toner at the same time. Serums and essence are also a great multitasking products because it moisturized and target specific skin care concerns. I’m currently obsessed with serums and essence that can moisturized and nourished my skin like the Natural Pacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence and Dear Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum.

Your typical soap and water routine can strips all the moisture and oils out of your skin especially after taking a long hot shower. I love using moisturizer because it reduce the chance of having a dry skin and it helps increase the moisture of my skin. Moisturizer is the most confusing part of skin care. I’ve used a lot of products that either gave me a clogged pores, skin irriation or a good result. A lot of reviews may tell you to use a certain product that is great but may also give you a disastrous result or a friend may tell you how to do it the right way that confuses you more. In my opinion, use a moisturizer that fit your skin type, don’t just grab moisturizer from a store just because the sales lady told you so. It’s so hard to find a moisturizer that will give you that perfect result so do a lot of research about the product you are about to purchase especially the ingredients to properly address your skin concerns. You don’t have to purchase and use the products I mention, just use the products that works well with your skin. It is important that you do the basic routine to get better result. Always remember to cleanse – tone- and moisturize.
